Locality southern slopes of Cedar Mesa, S of Muley Point, second shelf area below the top of the mesa, along Johns Canyon Road (County Highway 244), ca. 7.6 road miles W of Utah Highway 316; 
Ecology desert shrub community; rocky-sandy soil.
